What the Race for Rescues Means to Jax & Bones

-By Liz Prevedello

The Jax & Bones team spent a very rewarding day at the 2019 Race for the Rescues. We can’t thank The Rescue Train and everyone in attendance enough for helping us make a difference. Events like these truly help bring out the best in the people and for us to connect with fellow animal lovers. We are so thankful and incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to take part in this event and see all the good that comes out of it.

Empty LA Animal Services Truck at the end of the day!

TWENTY-ONE dogs and cats were adopted or rescued, sending the LA Animal Services shelter trucks back EMPTY for the 14th year. Congratulations, to the new dog parents! It takes a village. Watching the animals go to their fur-ever homes was incredibly exciting for our whole team. Seeing the joy in the new owners and knowing that we helped save these animals makes everything that we do worth it. Events like this energize us to find how we can continue making a difference and make a difference in more animal's lives.

The Race for Rescue 2019 raised $428,381 to help 30 nonprofits that help save animals lives. We are proud to take part in such a marvelous community that shares this deep-rooted love for animals and is willing to work and make a difference.

Some of our team members attended for the first time and were blown away by the turnout and support. The community coming together to help get these dogs adopted and make a better life for animals all around the country is so heartwarming. We walked away with a sense of pride and accomplishment and are so grateful that we individually got to be a part of making a difference.
