I purchased arctic shag donut bed for my 16 year old dog who has developed anxiety as his vision and hearing senses have become impaired. I had read about these calming beds and thought I would give it a try. My dog loves it! He burrows and sleeps very soundly with no sucking on the pillow to calm himself. My dog is under 20 pounds but I purchased the medium size bed because of his length as a Dachshund . And this was the right choice because it gives him the interior space to stretch out without being cramped. I like that the pillow is stuffed well and supports his joints. He is able to get up without struggling. Both my dog and I are very pleased with the purchase of this bed.

My puppy absolutely loves her new bed! We gave it to her for Christmas and she’s been sleeping in it over her other beds since she got it. I love that the materials used to make this bed are safe for her, which was the primary reason I purchased this bed. The only thing I don’t like about it, is that the insert isn’t washable (the only reason for the 4 stars). I wish that it was OR that there was an option to purchase a waterproof lining for the bed. My puppy had an accident in the bed and I had to get creative on trying to get it clean so she can still use it.
