For us, it all began with Jax. In 2004, our founder, Tina Nguyen, set out to create something she couldn't find: a beautifully designed, exceptionally comfortable dog bed that felt just as at home in her living room as Jax did.
What began as a love for one dog grew into a passion for thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and creating products that bring dogs and their people closer together.
More than 20 years later, that idea has grown into a woman-founded and woman-owned pet lifestyle brand, creating premium dog beds, toys, and accessories for dogs and the people who love them.
Along the way, Jax & Bones products have reached more than 2 million pets and have been carried by more than 3,000 independent pet retailers, five-star hotels, and nationally recognized names, including Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, and Nordstrom.

How it started
Tina’s appreciation for fabrics, construction, and craftsmanship began with her mother. Surrounded by upholstery and interior design from an early age, she learned to look beyond appearances, to the materials, finishing, and care that make something well made.
She brought that perspective to Jax & Bones, approaching pet bedding with the eye of a furniture maker and the heart of a dog lover.
Today, Tina is also the owner of Upholstery West, a Los Angeles upholstery company with a history dating back to 1970. It continues a family tradition that connects her love of furniture, textiles, and creating comfortable homes.
Those roots still shape the way we design today, from the fabrics we choose and the way our beds are constructed to our belief that products made for dogs can be every bit as thoughtful and beautiful as the things we choose for the rest of our home.

Our Original EcoBed™ styles feature soft fiber fill made from recycled plastic bottles. Our orthopedic options use high-density, furniture-grade foam, while our hybrid Ortho Lounge combines cushioned bolsters with an added foam foundation.
Thoughtfully chosen fabrics bring texture and style to your space. Removable, washable covers and replacement components on select styles make everyday care easier.
