Stonewash Donut Bed

Over the past twenty years, I have been a customer of Jax and Bones Beds, having some of those original Jax and Bones corduroy pillow beds, which are still in use by our pack of Scottish Terriers. Every five years (or so), we order replacement inserts (which Jax and Bones offers to purchase when the need arises). This past year, we ordered three of the stonewashed denim donut beds in mediums, and they have not been a disappointment. Just as the past Jax and Bones pet beds we have ordered, these have been holding up wonderfully to the weekly washings and are fairly easy to put back together. We wash ours on the cold water setting, and line dry them, so I cannot give any feedback on shrinkage, etc. What I can state is as follows: (1) My dogs love to dig; not only in the yard, but in their bedding; even with this abuse, there are no holes, scratches, or snags in the fabric. (2) We live on a lake, and our dogs come in leaving black muddy paw prints all over the floors in our house; there has been no staining on this fabric, and the sand/dirt does not go through to the insert. These are made with a liner that protects the inner inserts. As of yet, there have been no issues with these beds -- in fact, the only problem I am having is our cats try to take over these beds, as they like the donut shapes. Our dogs range in weight from 21 lbs up to 35 lbs, and these beds fit them perfectly. At times, we have two Scottie dogs in one bed. For the cats, who weigh 15 lbs, I am waiting for the size small to restock so I can order them their own beds in this same fabric. Only negative feedback I can give about Jax and Bones beds is that the Napper style bed was more difficult to break apart and put back together, especially for those that like to wash the dog bedding often. It could have just been I had become so use to how easy the pillow beds are to unzip, wash, put back together - literally in minutes, while the Napper style, I felt like I needed to have octopus arms to put them back together. Too, I am not a fan of the mink fabrics - when the blankets came out, I had purchased up a few. The Napper bed, and Mink fabric blankets could now be different in design, as those we purchased about ten to twelve years ago. Overall, I personally believe that Jax and Bones offers the best products available on the market, and their customer service has always been wonderful. I will be purchasing up more of these donut beds as soon as they are restocked. Only other feedback (advice) is when you go to wash them the first few times, you might want to rezip the covers as it took mine a few washings to make it easy to pull the zipper back from the start position after it had been washed. I LOVE this bed, but more importantly, so do my dogs (and cats)! If Jackie (or another Jax and Bones representative is reading this) - PLEASE consider bringing back the corduroy fabrics.

We love the bed!!! And more important, our dog loves it too. He slept in it the first day out of the box and we thank you so much for using recycled materials and taking the time to make a bed comfortable and washable!! We hope to look at your other offerings soon. Thank you again!

We’ve purchased two beds over the last few years and love them both!

My dog loves this bed and so do I! The shape, size and cushion thickness has my dog napping longer while I work. This bed has become THE spot where he relaxes/rest when he doesn’t feel like napping. The bed also looks great in our home. The color and quality is beyond what I expected. Looks and feels very durable and I’m really glad it was made from recycled goods. It is pricey, yes, but totally worth it. We know we are going to have this bed for a long while.
