I’ve had two dogs with completely different personalities and breeds who love this thing. With the 100lbs Corso-Staffie mix, it made sense that he loved to swing his head around and hit himself with it. 15 years later, our next dog—the Golden Retriever service dog that’s gentle as a lamb—same thing.
Self-flagellation is mostly for outdoors and in open spaces: when they really get a rhythm going, it turns into a bucking bronco move.
It’s good indoors though, too: it’s pretty indestructible for chewing; it makes an apparently comfortable pillow; and when they want a little human interaction, they like to hook the loop around my foot for a little tug time. Half the fun for them is just the looping it over my foot when it slides off and trying to tug while keeping from slipping off. All modes are hilarious. Highly recommended.
Ordered this on a whim for an 11 week old Havanese pup…Thought it may be a bit big for her—but—the moment it was out of the box our pup took off after it and hasn’t let it out of her sight in the days since then! Excellent chew toy and lovely, bright color too! Well crafted.
I have three gigantic sized dogs and this toy is built solid! They destroy a lot of their toys which is totally fine but it’s so nice to finally have a toy they can play chase and tug with each other that lasts a long time!
